SITUATION -
Date: June 5, 2023
In the ongoing civil war tearing through the United States, the Coalition of Sovereign Territories (COST) and the United Federal States (UFS) have been engaged in a fierce battle for control over the nation. Recent developments have seen a series of victories and defeats for both factions, significantly impacting the course of the conflict.
COST, previously suffering setbacks in Sanger, Texas, and Alton, Illinois, managed to turn the tide in Perry, Georgia. The monumental battle that took place at the Sierra Dynamics ammunition depot saw COST emerge victorious, bolstering their morale and reclaiming lost ground. However, their subsequent losses in Texas and Illinois dampened their progress, highlighting the volatile nature of the conflict.
On the other hand, UFS initially made headway in smaller urban areas across the United States. The faction's efforts were further supported by naval assets in their recent engagement in New Windsor, New York. However, despite the advantage of naval support, UFS was unable to secure victory, signaling a significant setback for the faction.
The conflict is now shifting towards what appears to be the largest confrontation thus far in Butlerville, Indiana. Both COST and UFS are mobilizing their forces in preparation for a decisive battle that could shape the course of the war. Butlerville has become a crucial strategic location due to it being one of the largest ammunition depots for UFS.
While the focus remains on Butlerville, another significant development has unfolded in the southwest. The Coalition of Sovereign Territories has made substantial movements in the New Mexico area, with Playas emerging as the new battleground. COST's intention is to prevent UFS from establishing a stronghold in the southwest region deep in its own territory. The outcome of this conflict in the south could have far-reaching consequences for both factions, potentially reshaping the balance of power.
