I recently went to my local RC Hobby Shop and picked up two 11.1v 45c 2200mah lipos by Gens Ace. This is my first experience with this big of a LiPo btw. After doing some research on charging these things a came across the unfortunate occurrence in the RC community, this being that these kinds of batteries are basically ticking time bombs and can explode randomly during charging. I live up in the mountains in Northern California and the last thing I want is to have one catch fire and burn down my forest. What I want to know is two things. 1: How many people own similar batteries. And 2: Should I be just as cautious with these as I should any other kind of RC LiPo? What should I do? Thanks
